The Miharu Project

Here is little Tadashi. He is a miniature, one and a half inch doll from Japan. Life is not always easy for such a tiny little creature. Sometimes the bigger dolls get pushy in Granny's doll cabinet. However, today is going to be different. Tadashi is out of the cabinet, and today, he is going to be a HUGE doll.

Today he is garnering containers on behalf of relief efforts for Miharu, Japan in regards to the earthquake and tsunamis that ripped across the land March 11th, 2011.

Miharu is the sister city of Rice Lake, WI, and that is very important to Tadashi. Every so often, students, parents and Government Officials come to Rice Lake, allowing Tadashi good conversation and tales from his home in Japan.

Today, a few members of the Rice Lake sister city group, RLIFA (Rice Lake International Friendship Association), met with Tadashi and covered coffee cans with flyers to gather donations for their dear Miharu in Fukushima, Japan.

Tadashi is already very humbled by the generosity of the people of Wisconsin and all over the world, who are making endeavors to help his beautiful country.

If you read this and wish to contribute, you may send donations to:
