Heeeerrrree's Clowny!

Remember Clowny? He ran away with Twinkie, one of the dolls on Granny's black metal couch.
Here's his story.....

Clowny had a talent, but he couldn't get the big break he needed to show himself to the world. The only gigs he could get were the lowest of low . He started out entertaining toddlers in the ball jumping arena at the In And Out Burger Palace in Los Angeles, California.

Next, he got a gig serenading the huge Budweiser Clydesdale's in
Milwaukee.

After that, he moved on to bear training, in Billings, Montana.
He worked with Tito, Rocky and Balls, the Tumbing Gorgonzolla Midgets from Tuscaloosa...
But Clowny's big break came when he was hired to round up the world's largest Texan dog act: Dallas's Daunting Dubious Dogs.

In Texas, he was spotted by the infamous clown agent Goldy McBubbles, and was boosted to starring clowndom at the Big Top Arena in Poukipsee, New York.
Unfortunately, Clowny discovered another fiddle player was sharing the bill: Madman Monkey Magee.
Clowny was forced into a two-some, The 'Fillarmonic' Fiddlers.

Clowny became a broken man...literally...broken...
And that's when little Twinkie came to visit her sisters, Gertie and Splenda, the famous Twinnies, who were performing in Clowny's new circus.

It was love at first sight for Twinkie and Clowny. Clowny now had a new purpose, to shower Twinkie with all the fiddle solos he could muster. and Twinkie began  her toe tap lessons, so some day she could perform up on the high wire with her little sisters.
And they lived happily ever after!

Daniel Boone

Daniel Boone was a man, was a real man!
Well, that is, before he tasted a waffle! His whole world turned upside down.

He found himself going to thrift stores and trying on ladies shoes.

At Macy's in the swimwear dept, he made friends with a Hawaiian Hula Girl. Oh, how Daniel longed for that grass skirt!

Finally, one day, he could take it no more.
He tried on a dress, and now Daniel Boone........

 is a cross dresser!
Oh, the sensations of seqins, satins, beads and rhinestones!! He's not sure where his new passion will take him, but we can guarantee he'll be first in line for Oprah tickets! Go Boone-muffin!

Suzuki

Meet little Suzuki San (Miss Suzuki). Originally from Miyajima, Japan, she moved to Chinatown, San Fransisco, CA., and was added to the dori (doll) collection around 1967. Suzuki didn't know it, but she was the spring board for Nancy's adult obsession with all things Japanese (Nihon).

Suzuki arrived in San Fransisco after kissing her Aibo (Mother), a statuesque woman, and her Aifu (Father), a fisherman, good-bye.

Suzuki got onto a ship ( which bears a remarkable resemblance to a Venitian canal boat,) and sailed the mighty ocean to Amerika (California)!
All she brought with her were 2 katana (like kimonos), one red and one multicolored. Suzuki was simply youki (overjoyed) when meeting an orphaned group of aiji (children) from Japan, who all spoke her Nihonjin (language).

Suzuki, humbled by her new life in a strange new country, drew on her former skills as a inu (dog) walker, and honed them daily until she became
"Suzuki's San Fransisco Spectacular: aka: Travelling Aikenka (dog lover) Act"

Perhaps she'll be tabibito (travelling) to a town near you very soon.

Hokey

Another grandchild from the black metal couch, seated center, is Hokey. Hokey was a quiet child, occasionally muttering to himself, acting out in his own imagination.

He was  most often seen trotting around the neighborhood for hours on end, so it was no surprise when Hokey packed up and moved west. He wanted to be a cowboy!
So he got himself a horse...

Tried out some local saddle makers...

And lived the cowboy dream. Hokey camped out at night, sitting around the fire, sleeping under the stars.

Spent his days ridin' the range cattle roapin'...
And along the way, he met Lu Lu, tho local saloon songstress. Some thought Hokey was in love, ready to settle down and make lil' cowpokes...

but he surprised them all by moving to Death Valley. And they never heard from him again.

Bixby Rutherford Jones

Little Bixby came from humble beginnings. He was born in his Nana's crop basket, out in the fields...not because his Mama was a slave to the farm, but simply because.... he came 4 weeks early!

Growing up in Missouri in a one room cabin, at the tail end of the 1950's, he was exposed to a simple, farming life.

His father, a tobacco farmer, fully expected his little boy to follow in his footsteps, living off the land.

Little Bixby had further ambitions.

He wanted to be a deep sea diver!
So, at the age of 17, Bixxy packed up his belongings and moved to Tungolunda Bay, to dive the sapphire waters of the great Pacific ocean. And that's where poor little Bixby, from southern MO, made his remarkable fortune.

He began diving in small offshore adventures, but  longed for a greater challenge.

Even though the odds were against him...

he dove forth into the deep depths, and
came out with priceless treasures from the sea!

Now, Bix, as his respectful peers call him,
enjoys the good life. Cars, women, wine and song. But everyone who meets him, still appreciates his gentle, childlike demeanor. Riches haven't changed him in any way.

He hasn't forgotten his humble beginnings. He still sleeps in that little basket given to him long ago.

In honor of Martin Luther King Day.
