Bixby Rutherford Jones

Little Bixby came from humble beginnings. He was born in his Nana's crop basket, out in the fields...not because his Mama was a slave to the farm, but simply because.... he came 4 weeks early!

Growing up in Missouri in a one room cabin, at the tail end of the 1950's, he was exposed to a simple, farming life.

His father, a tobacco farmer, fully expected his little boy to follow in his footsteps, living off the land.

Little Bixby had further ambitions.

He wanted to be a deep sea diver!
So, at the age of 17, Bixxy packed up his belongings and moved to Tungolunda Bay, to dive the sapphire waters of the great Pacific ocean. And that's where poor little Bixby, from southern MO, made his remarkable fortune.

He began diving in small offshore adventures, but  longed for a greater challenge.

Even though the odds were against him...

he dove forth into the deep depths, and
came out with priceless treasures from the sea!

Now, Bix, as his respectful peers call him,
enjoys the good life. Cars, women, wine and song. But everyone who meets him, still appreciates his gentle, childlike demeanor. Riches haven't changed him in any way.

He hasn't forgotten his humble beginnings. He still sleeps in that little basket given to him long ago.

In honor of Martin Luther King Day.
